There seems to be something about Sony and quiet releases for their Xperia XA2 phones. In January, the company released the Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra under the wraps and now, they are at it again. Sony just released the Xperia XA2 Plus , yet silently again. The Xperia XA2 Plus seems like the modified version of the XA2 Ultra. The changes noticed in the new device include the presence of a new 18:9 aspect ratio display, which makes the XA2 Plus not as long or wide as its predecessor. Another change is in the design as the XA2 Plus sports an aluminum build compared to the plastic build of XA2 Ultra. The back camera for the two phones is the same; a powerful 23MP camera. The front facing camera for the XA2 Plus, however, seems to have suffered a downgrade as its single 8MP camera cannot stand against the dual camera on the XA2 Ultra. By the end of this month, we would be seeing Sony release the heaviest high-end smartphone in recent years. The phone named Xperia XZ2 Premium will be Sony’s latest high-end phone and the most expensive till date, with the price standing at $999. Aside from the great features this phone possesses, it has somewhat of a fatal flaw. The phone is heavy. Sources from the company reveal that the phone weighs about 232 grams. Compared to other premium smartphones, the Samsung S8 Active currently sits as the second heaviest smartphone, weighing 208 grams. The XZ2 Premium shares a lot of similarities with the standard XZ2 version in that they both have aluminum frames with curved 3D glass. The curved back which measures 11.9mm at its thickest points is one of the many reasons why the phone is that heavy.
