Good news for all OnePlus 6 users as the first Android 9.0 Pie open beta is now available for download for the smartphone. Meanwhile, to upgrade to this new (beta) operating system, you are required to download a ROM package and flash it on your OnePlus 6 device. At last, it seems OnePlus may produce a smartphones available through at least one US service producer. In the previous years, almost all its handsets have been sold only unlocked in North America, leading to the OnePlus 6 that was launched in in May. Briefing PC Mag few days ago at the Mobile World Congress in Shanghai China, Pete Lay, the CEO of OnePlus stated that the company's is currently "working with US carrier" as it proposes to announce a 5G handsets in the coming year. He further said that the latest OnePlus phone would be among the world's first handsets to feature 5G connectivity. OnePlus is reportedly in good relationship with chipmaker Qualcomm, and for this reason the Chinese company is in the right track to release a 5G smartphones before any other companies does.
