Just when we thought Oppo will go on a break or something after releasing the exciting Find X, the Chinese mobile company has surprised us again. Now, we have a new smartphone called OPPO R17, which comes with an in-display fingerprint function – a feature which even Samsung is struggling to add tp its devices.

The OPPO R17 has been listed on the company’s official website with the full specifications and design. But let's run a short review.

A large 6.4 inches full HD+ display is present, at 2280×1080 pixels resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio display which will provide amazing viewing pleasure due to its bezel-less sides, while the top has a 'water drop' notch to accommodate the speaker. For image duties, Oppo R17 features a dual camera setup of 16MP + 20MP on the rear, with an AL-powered front-facing shooter of 25-megapixels.

In terms of performance, the dual-SIM handset runs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor which is built on 10nm technology. This is paired with 8GB of RAM plus 128GB of internal storage and an additional external MicroSD storage support with hybrid slot (i.e use dual SIM and no SD card, or use one SIM and SDcard).

To keep the phone running, Oppo R17 is powered by a 3500mAh battery juice, with support for flash charge technology. The device is set to ship in 2 colors options, Neon Purple and Steam Blue.

It appears that the company is looking to make the OPPO R17 Pro have triple rear cameras. Although, until the phone is launched on the 18th of August, we do not know the official retail price, but it should be around €460 (Rs 36,500).
